My response on this day of Thanksgiving:

With so much turmoil and heartache in the world, I am especially thankful for Your Presence in my life. Truly, in my 40+ years of walking with You by faith, You have proven Yourself to be faithful at every juncture–even when I have failed You.

Thank You, God, for helping me to recognize Your Hand at work–in my life and in the lives of those around me–in times of darkness as well as in light. One thing I have come to especially appreciate is that no matter how dark things may appear, there is always a glimmer of HOPE to hold onto. (Things are never as dark as they would be without Your Divine Presence.)

Thank You, God, for Your kindness shown through family and friends. Thank you also for the privilege it is to be back in the Counseling Room–shining Your love on those You put on my path. Thank You most of all for saving me from myself for Yourself . . . that I may give You Glory for all eternity to come.

YOU ARE AN AWESOME GOD!!!
