Thanks Kathy, I have never read this quote by J.B. Phillips and I find it very timely for me. I have noticed when I read one of God’s promises I have a tendency to immediately say “but what about the time when…”. I am working to control my mind’s “defenses” and honor God, like I would a friend, by believing what he says.
When an English friend gave me one of J.B. Phillips books he referred to it as, “Best of British.” His ability to challenge and edify our thinking is powerful and extremely helpful.
